Kaya Eksioglu Gil de Sagredo
“Progress is my definition of fun.”
- 13I learned to read.
- 14I started my first business.
- 15I built and led a team of 17 teenagers from 9 countries.
- 16I moved to another city to work, study and live alone.
- 17I was ranked #1 in Turkey in jiu-jitsu.
- 18I joined Tori Finance, the best team I could find, and built its outreach system.
I’ve always lived between two extremes. On the mat I’m completely alone and nobody can help me. At work I’m never alone, and most of what I’ve built, I built with people who believed in an idea before it was real. I love both, and I need both.
I’m dyslexic and I couldn’t read until I was 13. For years I felt like I was the problem, until I decided that if it was my fault, I also had the power to change it. Since then everything I do comes back to one goal, becoming the greatest version of myself.
Soon everyone will have the same intelligence in their pocket. I use AI every day, and it builds things for me that a year ago would have needed a team. So I think the difference between people will come from what AI can’t do for you: believing in something before it’s real, and making other people believe in it too. That’s what got a 15-year-old in another country to join a morning call for a project that didn’t pay yet, and what got me back on the mat after losing in front of my father.

What I want to build next
“The world is changing and I have to decide how I want to change it.”
A free market that lifts up young entrepreneurs. Anyone could back them early, and they would get the teaching and support that helps them grow.
I believe the single most valuable asset we have on this earth is ourselves. The human is an incredible creator that always seeks out something better and can solve any problem it comes across. I want to not only create but empower a market to invest in the thing that makes us special: ourselves.
